“The internship was an amazing chance to improve my skills and get some experience. I strongly recommend this internship especially for the young people how are looking for a chance to improve their communication or workplace skills”
Christy joined the Youth Internships Initiative to get involved in the community, make some new connections and gain some experience to support her pathway to employment. Christy was placed at Braybrook library and she thoroughly enjoyed her time there.
“It was a great experience and I got a lot of benefits from it. I learned how to use the printer and the scanner and I also practice on using the library system and how to find missing books and report them. The most fun part was to get to meet so many different people from various backgrounds.”
Christy did a fantastic job supporting the Library staff and the community members. We wish her all the best for her future!
The Youth Internship Initiative aims to provide valuable learning opportunities for young people in our community to gain the skills, experience and confidence to prepare, plan and work towards a career goal.
