Lisa Price started with MMVLLEN in March 2016 to work on the Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) project. She comes from a varied work background that includes roles within education, RTO’s, industry bodies and employment. She is also a qualified yoga teacher. She is passionate about creating authentic connections and real change.
Lisa is currently completing a Bachelor of Education with an interest in social pedagogy. When she left high school, instead of going to university (it was not as common back then), she looked for work as a “clerk” (respectable then, obsolete now!). After months of writing resumes, attending job interviews, getting knock back, after knock back, she took the first job that she was offered – costing clerk in a factory. This was not a popular job with the factory workers, and not a very good fit for a shy and insecure 18-year-old, so she left to pursue a career in the hospitality industry (well back then she was referred to as a “barmaid”).
